Cobalt!

Hey there guys...

So it's close to the end of the week now and I was really feeling dull and lazy in the morning.
And on days such as today, I love to dress up but with minimum effort and in clothes that allow me to be myself - minimum fuss and still chic and stylish...

I have been loving cobalt blue as a color because it's just so vibrant and so full of character! I bought these pants the minute I laid eyes on them..they are wide leg pants and are in this gorgeous color - how can anyone say no, huh??!

So my look of the day is what this post is about - casual, comfy and still in style!

Hope you are having a great week so far...XO!

April favorites!

Hey there girls...Hope you guys are having a great week...
I am doing a quick round up of my favorite products and I know I am a little late for April but you forgive me, right??!

Anyways, most of these are beauty products so would love to hear if any of you are using these currently or have used these in the past...

So I have recently started using the Body Shop strawberry shower gel and it is yummy! I love the fruity strawberry smell and it leaves my skin feeling really smooth and soft and smelling fruity fresh, which is always a good thing in this heat...

My next favorite is the product I have just started using because of my breakouts (again the heat!) and it's this Lakme Absolute white intense concealer. I am loving it because it does what it promises, it hides my marks and covers the redness....it is really easy to blend and I find the coverage pretty good. The only thing I am a tad bit unhappy about is that it cakes after like a long day and that sucks...but till I find a replacement (or my breakouts and marks vanish!), this one is a keeper!

The other newbie I have used this month is this foundation by Coloressence...what I really love about it is the fact that it blends very well and it has some very subtle shimmer in it that makes the skin look so very fresh and radiant...

My next favorite is a must have if you want dark kohl lined sultry eyes - I absolutely love this product from Maybelline, the Eyestudio lasting drama gel eyeliner...Its great to use to define your eyes and give it that extra edge, its water proof and stays put for the whole day unless you are in the habit of scrapping your eyes out..!
Love the applicator brush that comes along with it, it makes product application so much easier..

My next two favorite products are scents...I have started using the new Engage body spray and I am using the Trail mix variant and its such a refreshing lemony piney smell...it makes me feel instantly refreshed and the smell stays with you for quite a long time. And the next favorite is the Estee Lauder perfume in Sensuous Nude and it is just such a heavenly subtle smell that it feels divine! This was part of a gift set my hubs got from the UK and I just got around to using these perfumes and its a delight to spritz them on in the morning and walk out in the sun  ...Bring it on Sun...I have got perfume.!

The last of my favorites is a book - I have recently got around to reading a lot of pop psychology books and I am just so loving the whole concept of how plastic our brain is and how we are fooled into thinking we make so many choices and decisions through our lives consciously, while we actually don't...we are pre-wired to do, see, believe so many things that its surprising we remain blind to it at all.

This book is letting me know about so many things we know are there, staring us in the face, but we are willfully blind to it (as the name suggests :P)...Its a good read, I can take like 5 pages at a time and then I take a day to assimilate it all but its worth the slow read!

That's it from me; wish you a great week ahead! XO!

This little post has been pending for a while now (almost 4 months!!).... I went to Goa for a little fun trip in December close to my birthday and here are the pictures I promised...

In case you guys have never been to Goa, its definitely a must visit - awesome beaches and great people and even better food! Its one my favorite beach destinations in India...the pictures here are of Vagator beach in North Goa and the very colorful flea market at Anjuna beach..

These are a few of my favorite captures from our little time away last year...makes me want to go back all over again:)

Have fun and wish you a great week! XOXO!

Of hot summers!

Hey there lovelies!

It's getting hotter by the day in Mumbai and obviously I am gravitating towards easy to wear pieces that are breathable and airy.
I have been loving the whole loose top and fitted skirt look and here is my humble care free version :)
My most favorite color for this spring summer is pink and all shades that are remotely related to pink...mix that up with a nice print and I could die! This oh-so-cute top is from a brand called Jealous 21...the skirt is a DIY project of mine (it was originally a baggy pant that I turned into a skirt....yay me!!
Throw on a cute pair of heels and a cute chain necklace and you are all set
Have a great week!

For the love of versatile pieces!

Hey there!

Don't you just love pieces in your wardrobe that you can wear in more than one way??!

I bought this lovely lace top from Styletag.com and I will let you in on a little secret...I am wearing it the wrong way (back to front!) and there is no way of telling!

Just love the gold buttons and the slightly puffed sleeves on this...I paired it with a simple grey tank and some colored denim for an effortless casual look!

What's your current favorite versatile piece?
Have a great week!
XOXO!

Printed pants...styling ideas

Hello Ladies...

I have been really loving the printed pants look lately and though I find it hard to veer from a a solid black or white top pairing, I thought I will experiment and put a few styles together...

Although I still have used white and black, I still think the looks are fun and flattering at the same time...Let me know what you think!
Oh yes, and I do love crop tops too in case you are wondering! :))

Have a great week!
XOXO!

Fab Bag goodies - my very first April bag is here!

Hello lovelies!

I am back after a long hiatus..I know and I apologize for the break but you know how things can get crazy sometime...

I recently read about this site called Fab Bag and basically, you can subscribe to get a bag full of cosmetics and beauty products for a monthly fee. It sounded interesting enough and who doesn't want a surprise bag full of stuff to slather on to your face!
So, obviously, I went right ahead and ordered the April fab bag for a small amount of 599/- Rs (roughly around 10$)...

I got the bag on Friday and this is what the April bag contained...

The goodies come in a nice pouch and are supposed to contain a minimum of 3 beauty products...and if you like any of the products, then you can avail a discount for a repeat purchase at their online store...

So the April bag contained the following...

1. I Love ...Mango & Papaya Lip gloss...
2. I Love..Mango face mask (love the packaging!)
3. BeautyUK eye shadow collection (Love, love, love the bright colors!)
4. Just herbs glow boosting collection

I haven't yet used any of the items except the lip gloss and it is pure heaven! The rest of the items look great too and I will let you guys know what I think of them soon...
If you have used any of the items before, do share what your experience has been using them...you know, the whole good, bad and ugly..

The website link is here in case you want to browse through..

Have a great week!

Of sweat pants fashion!

A very Happy new year to you all you lovelies out there....

I hope you had a lovely time this holiday season...I had a lovely long vacation at Goa (pictures coming soon) and am all set to start a new year...I also turned 30 this December (sigh) and am starting to feel the burden of all those 30 years in my bones now...yeah...getting old is not so good..

Anyways...moving on to stuff this post is about...Sweat pants!. YES, they are comfy and YES, you can lounge around in them all day, and YES, they do make the 'behind' look like a big lump...but these babies have been doing the rounds with celebrities and fashionistas so much lately that I was tempted to give them a shot...what the heck, I am 30 and I may never be able to make this work if I can't make it work now...so I went ahead and bought myself a pair this weekend and here's the outfit I put together...it is comfy like any PJ would be but, yes, it does take a little getting used to. You need to be confident and carry these boys with the same attitude as you would carry a tiara on your head...I did see a couple of people turn back and look at me with wonder (maybe they were admiring my guts or they were thinking poor little jackass)...
But I am quite happy with my pants and the whole outfit...and I would definitely be experimenting with this trend a little bit more...

Would love to hear what you think of this trend...Take care.. and have a great week!
