Of Polka Dots!

Hey there...I am off to a movie again this weekend:) Its a new one called Talash and I can't wait to see it!
Going with a bunch of girlfriends and am wearing this comfy and cool attire (don't worry - those heels only look like they would hurt, they are absolutely walk-able!)..
I am in love with this cute polka dotted teal green top I purchased a few days back; since its going to be a little cold in the mall, I have added on one of my favorite frill detailed white shirts and paired the look with faded jeans and some chunky accessories...
The bag is a gift from my friend and the shoes are from a brand called Bella.
Will tell you about the movie once I am back! Cya and stay stylish!
XO!

Prepping your peds!

So today on a Friday I finahhallly decided to give myself a pedicure:)
Its such a luxury to be able to pamper yourself sometime and have the time to make yourself relax - I love the luxurious feel of hot water, bath salts, soaps, scents and oils on my feet; they just seem to melt the tension away and make me feel instantly refreshed!

So after doing my quick pamper session, I decided to prep up my nails with my style of nail paint...only I lost patience mid way and the designs kinda turned out in a different way than I had in mind but what the hell:) - they look okay and I thought I will show you how it turned out!

So this is how I started out (yes, these are my clean feet! I am sorry but I am not the worlds best foot model so please bear with me:D)

I applied my favorite shade of nail paint which happens to be mint (this one is by Streetwear,  Revlon) and then I added some fancy smancy doodling with my eye liner (the fine tip sketch pen types).

So it would have looked like this in the end had I had the patience to wait for the designs to dry but I added the top coat sooner than required and well the designs kind of turned into those marble-y patterns you see below!
But I still think it looks okay and I am going to take this as a lesson for next time (mental note!).

And so at the end, I tried on some toe rings and my favorite Indian style footwear and feel ready for the weekend that lies ahead...
AaaaAah the bliss!

"Dressy" in Velvet

Hey dolls!

Hope you had a pleasant Tuesday and a great start to the week!

As I told you in my last post, I am lovin the dress trend at the moment and its such a great weather to be layering on with light weight stuff...
I had this dress, a halter neck which I don't usually wear (yes, skin show is a problem for me:))...and I thought of layering it with a this velvet burgundy top underneath to give it a more modern look!

I guess it turned out okay in the end and I just love dresses that twirl and whirl - movement in clothes always intrigues me and so needless to say this outfit is one my favorites!

Also the dark colors add to the touch, don't you think?!

Here's what I am wearing:

- Dress: from Chatuchak market in Bangkok
- Bag: local shop, Bangkok
- Necklace: Tribal Zone accessories
- Shoes: Bella India

Greys...

Hey dolls!

My newest obsession is dresses - and the weather in India permits me to wear them without adding on a pound of layers (though I would actually like doing that sometime!)...

I had ordered this fabulous grey bandage type (if there is another term, then I would be happy to hear it from you!) in grey from fashionandyou.com...its from a brand called femella fashions.. I love the color of the dress and the way it fits...

Today I have worn this outfit for a formal lunch out with some colleagues...and I really wanted to look more chic than formal so I added my own touches to an otherwise plain colored dress...
Wish you guys a wonderful and stylish weekend! XO!

What I am wearing:
Dress: Femella fashions

Crochet-ed details ...

Good day to all you lovelies!

Here's is my newest look where I was trying to rock my crochet white shrug with a dress. The aim was to make the look elegant and chic - hopefully I did manage to pull it off (would be happy to hear from you - hit or a miss?)..

The mustard dress is one of my favorite items from Brazil - it cost me around 20 $ during discount time and it was worth every cent...it goes great with any jacket, can be worn as a skirt and looks great with leggings...I love to have such versatile pieces in my wardrobe which can have more than one use..

The rest of the look :
Necklace: Sarojini market, Delhi
Shrug: gifted
Shoes: a brand called Calzature from Brazil, 30 $
Watch: Esprit
Velvet clutch: Local market, 5$

Have a stylish day! XO!

Make up favorites - November

Hey readers..

Here is a list of my favorite current make up products and my till date opinion on them...

My make up routine is pretty simple, consisting of a moisturizer, foundation and compact powder, a dab of lip balm/lip stain and kohl liner to complete the look...Mascara only at times when I want to do a dramatic eye look...

I am currently loving the Bourjois Healthy mix foundation which the product claims gives a glowing finish for upto 16 hours and I have to agree..it stays intact till the time I remove my makeup at night and is perfectly blend-able, non-patchy, non-sticky and doesn't make my skin shine with oil by afternoon time! I would totally vote for this product as the best foundation I have ever used.

It also claims to have fruit therapy and hey, anything with fruits is gotta be good right?!  I am using shade 55 - beige fonce.

For the compact, I am experimenting with Maybelline whitestay UV compact powder and I am liking it quite a lot! Especially since its value for money at 200 bucks.! It makes for a shine free radiant look and gets a thumbs up from my side!

Well, being an Indian, I am a big big fan of Kohl lined eyes and I am absolutely in love with the Bourjois Kohl and Contour eye pencil in the ultra black shade. It is smudge proof and stays on for a long time and the color is truly an ultra black; its pretty non-expensive but the only downside is that its not waterproof (which I realized after coming home)...so if you are looking at waterproof kohl liners you may want to opt for the Bourjois smoky eye pencils.

Well, my favorite lip sticks for the month are the L'Oreal caresse range of lip colors - I am not sure where they are available in India (I bought mine from the Dubai duty free) but these are too good to be true! I bought 3 colors, Rebel red (401), Mauve Cherie (102) and Rock n Mauve (203) and they are all super creamy and super slick and the color stays for a long time. I do have to re-apply after lunch but even then I love the super creamy texture and the way my lips stay moisturized for longer...A definite buy if you like your lip colors to be durable.

This is me after the end of the work day - I am wearing the Bourjois foundation and rebel red on my lips but a light dab so its not too rebel-y!

You can buy the products @
http://www.slassy.com/catalog/brand/Bourjois?segment=Makeup (if you are in India, they offer free delivery for orders over 350 INR or head to your nearest Westside store to try them out)

Have a stylish day! XOXO!

Of golden threads and busy days!

Heya gals!!

Hope you had a lovely day and are relaxing away your time in the evening..
I had a pretty busy work day and that meant a lot of running around and phone calls and meetings...usually on days like these I like to dress up in way that allows me to move freely and makes me feel stylish at the same time.
Jeans are OK at the work place for me so I have paired my look with comfy faded skinny jeans...
My lovely top was the highlight of the outfit with the beautiful almost oriental looking golden detail - & oh I am soooo in love with it!
The top is a from a local brand called H&A and if you are in India, they have a sale on currently and you can grab some great deals..and they have super cute T shirts and tops like this one..

The rest of my look was pretty simple with golden accessories and neutral flats.!
